The financial aspect of OYP

OYP is a program that educates future academicians in good universities for employment in developing universities, and it offers many academic and financial advantages. First of all, with a high GPA, ALES score and YDS score, you can begin your career and job just after you graduate. While you are doing your MA/ PhD (academic progress) in a good university, you are earning money, too. (economic freedom). Apart from that, OYP gives you the chance to complete your education in a long period of time. You don’t have to worry about time like 50d research assistants do. Maybe the best thing related to OYP is that your future job is ready for you (job security). After your education is completed, you will have your job in the university you have applied in the beginning. Of course, the university you have been affiliated with wants you to sign a contract that makes you obliged to work there or else pay a huge amount of money after you finish your education. And this may put much stress on you! One more thing in relation to OYP is the budget reserved for you and your education by YOK. You can use money from your budget for attending conferences, symposiums, seminars, etc and for buying materials for your studies (contribution to studies). But bear in mind that YOK restricts you in some ways to use your money. You can use your money in the first four semesters of MA and in the first eight semesters of PhD. And the formal procedure for budget issues may be compelling and challenging, and even you may not be able to use your money because of restrictions!
